Dušan has successfully provided legal advice in regard to Corporate and M&A, Commercial and Dispute Resolution matters to a broad range of clients including SMEs, international corporations, manufacturers, distributors, energy producers, international investment groups, private equity companies, cryptocurrency and blockchain projects and venture capital firms.
Dušan’s main focus is on M&A as well as equity capital markets. He has broad experience in advising corporations and financial institutions on domestic and cross-border M&A and capital markets transactions, reorganizations, cross-border and domestic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and private equity. Furthermore, Dušan advises clients on private financing activities, including acquisition financings, corporate restructurings, project finance and other domestic and international private financings.
With his expertise in the areas of IT law, blockchain technology and digital currency, Dušan is dedicated to helping individuals, businesses and organizations navigate the legal aspects of IT, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Furthermore, Dušan’s additional field of expertise includes energy and infrastructure projects. Having completed his postgraduate studies in Environmental Law, Dušan is particularly well-versed in renewable energy and understands the current key market drivers, including financial incentives, as well as the significant compliance obligations impacting renewable energy projects.
Moreover, Dušan represents both domestic and foreign entities in commercial disputes and advises on dispute avoidance and project management issues. His background has given him an incredibly diverse set of tools to deploy on behalf of his clients that allow him to craft solutions to each client’s specific needs. Dušan obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, and earned Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the same faculty. His academic success was awarded with several scholarships and the highest acknowledgments awarded for academic excellence in the field of law. During the course of his studies, Dušan provided pro bono legal assistance and took part in various legal seminars, study groups and conferences, most notably in the area of International Arbitration and International Commercial Law. In 2015/2016, Dušan was a member of a successful team of the University of Belgrade in the 23rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
