Online Company Registration in Serbia

From 17 May 2023 registration of all new companies in Serbia will be done only through online registration with the Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA).

It is in line with development of digitalization process and intention of Serbia to incorporate the best international practices in order to save time and money and provide the most efficient company registration procedure.

This service will be an additional one to those which can be used only in electronical way, that the SBRA has already introduced, such as UBO register, construction permits, financial statements etc.

For the purpose of online registration, it will be necessary only to have:

  • an account on the eID.gov.rs online platform;
  • Qualified electronic certificate issued by authorized certification body in Serbia;
  • Reader of electronic cards with NEXU application for electronic signature and
  • Visa, MasterCard or Dina cards for payment of fees.

Our attorneys at law are authorized to submit applications for registration of new companies with the SBRA on behalf of the client as per POA, as well as to digitalize powers of attorney and documents originally issued in paper form. In such case neither of the above requirements will be required for the client, as full service would be provided by our law office.

However, it remains the obligation of obtaining Qualified electronic certificate for the new company’s director, issued by the authorized certification body in Serbia, which is obtained after registration of the company.

It is expected that mandatory online registration will simplify and speed up process of registration and make Serbia more attractive for new foreign and domestic investors.
